Old Age Pension (OAP)
| Description of the Scheme | Old aged men and women with no source of income are provided financial support in the form of pension. Applicants shall be 60 years and above in case of males and 55 years or above in case of females and the applicant should have meager source of income. |
| Procedure | The application forms are available with DSWO/TSWO free of cost. The applicant has to complete the application form and enclose proof regarding age, income, status and address. Complete case is to be submitted to the concerned Tehsil Social Welfare officer against proper receipt. The concerned Tehsil Social Welfare Officer (TSWO) consolidates the list of eligible applicants under the scheme and forwards it to the concerned District Social Welfare Officer for arrangement of funds and accord of sanction by a designated District level Sanctioning Committee headed byDirector General, Social welfare Department, Kashmir. |
