Description of the Scheme |
Nari Niketans have been set up to provide shelter and
protection to destitute, deprived, socially marginalized
girls who have been orphaned. There are 6 residential
Homes for girls (Nari-Niketans) with an intake capacity
of 175 inmates. The department is providing free boading
and lodging such as diet, bedding, clothing etc. to
these orphans. In addition, the department provides
free, compulsory, quality and meaningful education. The
diet charges are Rs. 100/- per day per inmate.
