Description of the Scheme

“Aasra” is a newly launched comprehensive scheme of financial Inclusion covering the following groups deprived of basic financial service scheme:

1.  All bread winners of families whose total annual income is less then Rs.75000/-

2.  All widows and destitute residing in the State.

                  The scheme aims to provide social and financial security to eligible beneficiaries and entails to provide a zero balance Saving Bank Account to avail the insurance cover benefit and the state Government will pay or reimburse the premium for a period of five years for the following two insurance schemes:

i.          i.      Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Youjana

·              Application on the prescribed format

·         All bread winners of families whose total annual income is less then Rs.75000/-

·         All widows and destitute residing in the State.
